Chris Soriano joined the KYMA news team in June of 2012.

Prior to joining KYMA News 11, Chris' news projects were featured on CNN and HLN.  He’s been recognized as a Ford Foundation Fellow, 30 Under 30 San Diego County Leader by AOL Patch, and a UNITY Student Project Journalist. 

Notable figures he's interviewed include: Olympic gold medalist Jennie Finch, Grammy-winning musician Jewel, and actor Don Cheadle.

In addition to his journalistic accomplishments, Chris wrote a novel at age 16 titled "Kiss me in the Rain," published through Authorhouse nationwide.

A motivational speaker at age 17, Chris traveled to high schools and colleges throughout California inspiring kids to overcome failure and reach for success.

Chris is currently a senior studying Communications at San Diego State University.  He hopes to make a positive impact in the world by creating inspiring news stories that define hope and truth.
