Bruce Rapp of Jews for Jesus will speak at Faith Horizon Baptist Church on March 3rd at 11 am. Pastor M.R. Kidwell invites all to attend. Jews for Jesus uses creative methods and contemporary issues to present the message that Jesus is the Messiah to Jewish people around the world.
Bruce leads the Jews for Jesus work in Phoenix, Arizona. His wife Tracy, also a missionary with Jews for Jesus, works alongside him. They have two children, Morgan and Jordan.
Bruce grew up in Brooklyn, New York in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood. He went o Hebrew school and studied the Torah at a young age. Bruce attended synagogue for Shabbat services weekly with his family. It was not until he had his own family that he began to discover the true identity of Jesus.
It was Easter week 1993 when he attended an Easter production at his son's school. AS the pastor began to speak, he shared about Jesus referencing the Hebrew Scriptures. Isaiah 53, Micah 5 and Psalms 22 were just a few of the Scriptures that made Bruce question who Jesus really is. He began reading everything that he could get his hands on in order to find the truth. A few weeks later Bruce became a believer in Jesus and has come to understand that no matter what he does he will not lose his Jewish identity. He believers that having faith in Jesus, since He is the Messiah , is the most Jewish thing he can do.
Jews for Jesus was founded in 1973 by Moishe Rosen, who revolutionized Jewish evangelism with his creative approach. Rosen died in May 2010. David Brickner, a fifth generation Jewish believer in Jesus, has been the organization's executive director since 1996. Brickner has kept Jews for Jesus on the cutting edge as the ministry has expanded and established branches in fourteen countries, including the United States, Brazil, Israel, Russia, France and South Africa. "We exist to make the Messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to our Jewish people worldwide," Brickner states. "There are still a few that haven't heard of us!
To Bruce Rapp and other Jews for Jesus staff, the objective evidence of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, and the transformation their own lives provide ample evidence that Jesus was who he claimed to be-the Jewish Messiah. Bruce will be happy to answer questions after the presentation. Call 928-210-3845 for more information. There is no admission charge.
