19th Annual Frankie L. Chavez Memorial Scholarship BBQ Fundraiser

On Sat. Feb.23, 2013 We will Be having Our 19th Annual Frankie L. Chavez Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser at Hinojosa Park in Brawley, Ca. featuring live entertainment, pit BBQ, and our annual softball tournament. It is our goal to raise money so that we may award scholarships to Brawley Union High and Calipatria High school seniors who will be attending college. On December 4, 1993 our son Frankie, who had just graduated from Brawley Union High and his friend Nate Mata lost their lives in a tragic automobile accident when another driver ran a stop sign. In 2012, the Foundation awarded $12,000 in Scholarships to a total of 22 graduating seniors. In the past 18 years, we have awarded a total of $164,500 in Scholarships.
