Second Annual Transition Fair

Yuma, AZ, March 21, 2013:  The Special Education Community Transition Council, in partnership with YUHSD Exceptional Student Services and local community agencies, will hold its Second Annual Transition Fair hosted at Cibola High School on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Students from YUHSD # 70 will also be assisting with hosting the event. Dinner will be provided along with entertainment and childcare; join us as we celebrate our youth and transition opportunities in our hometown of Yuma. The Transition Fair will provide informational booths of local agencies and Transition Programs, all with the common goal of meeting the needs of our youth. The Department of Developmental Disabilities and SMILE, Independent Living Center will be giving presentations about applying for and accessing services. It is our quest that the transition from the high school setting to the workplace, community and/or post-secondary education be a smooth one for all involved.
