Jasmine Arenas is a weekday dayside news reporter and a weekend sports reporter for KSWT.


She is originally from South Central Los Angeles, CA but grew up in Compton, CA. She is the oldest of 4 siblings and feels the need to set an example for her younger cousins and siblings.  She graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2017 with a B.A. in Communications and emphasis in broadcast journalism. At her university, Jasmine served as the main reporter/anchor and sports director for the sports show on campus, Titan Sports Recap. Jasmine has also had many internships such as spectrum sports net, Fox Deportes, Power 106 and NBC Sports in Los Angeles, just to name a few. During her sophomore year of college, Jasmine landed a job at Fox Sports West where she learned everything that went on remotely and in the studio as she worked in both operations and production.

This is Jasmine's first official job as a reporter. Her goal is to become the best version of herself that she can be on and off the air. Her motto is 'I am still growing and I am still learning, it is all a process."  She loves the beach and California. She has a huge love, admiration, and appreciation for art, fashion, and hip-hop. She also has a great love for the community and would like to contribute to this community by telling stories that matter and bring joy as well.
