YUMA, Ariz. - This Saturday the Bordercity Rollergirls have their first home bout in over a year and a half.
Come out to the Yuma County Fair Grounds, Saturday, November 18. Doors open 6:30 p.m. and the bout starts at 7 p.m. Come in the main entrance off of 32nd street.
Tickets at the door are $6. Kids 10 and under are free and there are discounted tickets for those in the military.
Also, if you bring a donation for Crossroads Mission you also have a discount to get in.
"We're going to have different food venders, different merchant venders, we have a beer garden so fun for the whole family," Scarlet Stitch one of the rollergirls said.
The derby will also help out a local cause.
"We have a 50/50 raffle going on all during the game," Stitch said. "The winner will be announced at halftime and it goes towards Old Souls Animal Rescue and Retirement Home," she said.
The Bordercity Rollergirls do a lot of work in the Yuma community. Old Souls is just one cause they care about. "They do something for the community that no one else will do. They work with dementia and elderly animals to give them a great end of life and it's just an amazing cause," Stitch said.
