YUMA, Ariz. -
A Yuma bar remained open Friday after a car driven by an unidentified driver crashed through its back patio on Thanksgiving night.
Surveillance video provided to us by the restaurant's owner shows smoke filling the area after an SUV came into the parking lot and straight through 8th Street Tavern bar.
Neighbors describe the accident as a loud bang in an already busy intersection.
The owner of the bar said it happened a little after 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. He says three people were sitting on the back patio and were steps away from disaster.
The co-owner of the bar said that the search is still on for the driver.
“Obviously they ran through a smoking area they could have been kids walking down the street you know so I mean, obviously they’re you know they don’t deserve to be on the street,” said David Price, co-owner of 8th Street Tavern bar.
