Imperial Valley celebrates Halloween

IMPERIAL VALLEY HALLOWEEN

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. - It’s Halloween and if you are looking for some spooky places to visit in Imperial Valley you're in luck!

There are some haunted activities happening around town and News 11 was invited for a preview.

“What it is, is just to have an activity for the clients, you know to scare them and have fun,” said Gerardo Tovar, IT Coordinator with Arc of Imperial Valley.

Earlier in the day, Arc of Imperial Valley held a small haunted house just behind me for some of its clients and later today that area will be transforming into haunted laser tag featuring witches, goblins, werewolves and a lot more. That will be open to the public for a small fee.

“Today it will be open to the public from 3:30 to 10 pm and basically they can enjoy the bowling, the good food and also the haunted laser tag,” added Tovar.

And if you are not a fan of bowling or laser tag, you can skip Strikezone and visit some of your local businesses that are also celebrating Halloween.

“We make big o’ candy bags and we give them out for free and we welcome the community to come,” said Debra Guerrero, Owner of Bail Bonds.

This will be the fourth year that Guerrero and her family celebrate Halloween by inviting people into their spooky setup.

“We just do it to get the word out there, be safe, were bail bonds, if you get in trouble give us a call, and it’s just giving back to the community,” explained Guerrero.

The haunted house at bail bonds opens when it gets dark and closes at 9 p.m. Haunted activities at strike zone will be going on till 10 p.m.
