CALIFORNIA - A 92-year-old Rosarito, Baja California man was killed Thursday around 1:30 p.m. after colliding with a Caltrans work vehicle.
The driver was on Interstate-8, traveling westbound at high rates of speed. Due to the high speeds, the driver couldn't determine the curve of the road.
As a result, the driver went off road, driving through several paddle markers and signs before running into a Caltrans work vehicle.
The Caltrans work vehicle was blocking the InKoPah Road on ramp to I-8 because of a previous hazmat traffic collision that happened the evening before.
As a result of the crash, the driver died from his injuries.
