YUMA, Ariz. - The Imperial Valley College men's basketball team has only been able to muster 2 wins out of their first 10 games of the season, hoping to pull off a huge road upset against the 18th ranked Arizona Western College Matadors on Monday night.
Even though the Arabs played the Mats close early, AWC would live up to their top 20 ranking as they would pull away from IVC, starting from the midway point of the 1st half.
The Mats would go into the half with a 15 point lead and then extend it even further by the final buzzer; coming away with the 87 to 65 victory.
Mats guard Daryl Adams led all scorers on the night, taking in 26 points. This while teammate and fellow guard Torin Webb put down 17 points of his own in the win.
IVC's Brandon Martinez and Emanuelle Bradbury combined to score more than half of the Arabs overall points; together giving them 38 points with their efforts.
