Yuma Catholic football releases Aaron Cheatwood

YUMA, Ariz. - Yuma Catholic is closing out it's latest football era.

After completing 2 seasons as the Shamrocks Head Football Coach, Aaron Cheatwood is now out.

Yuma Catholic High School's Athletic Director, Louis Pisano issued the following press release on Tuesday, explaining the reason for the dismissal:

"Yuma Catholic High School has decided to go in a new direction with the football program. Aaron Cheatwood has been released of all of his duties including that of Head Football Coach effective, April 2, 2018. We wish Aaron nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors. We will announce a new coach shortly."

Cheatwood led the Rocks to an overall record of 18-6, with 2 appearances in the 3A State Tournament quarterfinal round.
