QUECHAN NATION - The San Pasqual Warriors baseball team has a lot to play for with only two regular season games remaining.
As both games are winnable and the Warriors currently holding a #9 power point ranking in the 1A Division, San Pasqual could likely make it into the state tournament if they win out.
On Thursday, they would host Valley Lutheran in their home finale as the emotions of the last pregame ceremony almost overshadowed the game.
7 year old Reality Parra (who is getting treatment in her fight against cancer) threw out the ceremonial 1st pitch, as the entire Warriors team is wearing the pink jersey's with her name on it; both to honor her and raise awareness.
As the 1st inning began, starting pitcher Frankie Rodriguez struggled early as he gave up a run in the top half. But, the offense quickly responded in the bottom half as Rodriguez himself put in the 1st Warrior RBI of the afternoon; thanks to sacrifice fly to deep center that scored Ralph Dominguez.
From there, the Warriors took control of the entire game; coming away with the 21-1 dismantling of the Flames.
The Warriors play their final regular season game next week at Salome, before they potentially begin their 1A playoff run.
