YUMA, Ariz. - Crossroads Mission is putting on a fundraiser to raise money for a new men's shelter.
"It started in 1959 with 50 dollars and a borrowed coffee pot," Cesar Acosta, treatment director for Crossroads Mission said.
From there, the concept of helping the homeless progressed to the opening of their first men's shelter in 1993.
Now, Crossroads offers their services towards many and is looking to expand, but they need your help.
On October, 18 Harkins Theater is having an exclusive showing of the movie "Same Kind of Different As Me."
There are only 50 tickets left for the 7:30 p.m. showing. You cannot purchase your tickets at the door.
Harkins Theater cannot guarantee that the movie will stay in Yuma after the event. Crossroads urges you to call Harkins and request that they keep the movie for its original premiere date on October 20.
Tickets are limited so act now. They are available at Crossroads Mission or call 928-783-9362.
