Two armed robberies reported within minutes of each other

YUMA, Ariz. - Police responded to two armed robberies that happened within the same hour in Yuma on Saturday.

 

At 7:45 p.m., a man in his 20's entered a Circle K on 4th Avenue. The suspect displayed a handgun to the clerk and demanded money. After he received an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect took off.

 

Around 10 minutes later, police responded to a second report of an armed robbery at the Circle K on Avenue A. The suspect entered the store, displaying his handgun and demanding money. He left the store headed Southeast on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.  

 

The suspect in both crimes was described as a heavyset black male in his 20's. He was wearing a black hoodie with a white shirt underneath, light colored shorts, basketball style shoes, green gloves and a blue bandanna potentially covering his face. 

 

No injuries were reported during either of these incidents.
