World of comics takes over Yuma Con

Super heros or villains Yuma con is back

Yuma, Ariz. - This year, the Yuma Civic Center will transform its venue into a comic book spectacular. Yuma Con is back with special celebrity guests such as Leonardo Romero, President of Justice League, who will also be one of the guest judges for the masquerade contest.

The masquerade contest will also feature have surprise guest judge who will be revealed on the day of the event.

Yuma Art’s Center marketing specialist, Ana Lazo-Padilla, says the event will be bigger than last year.

“Last year we had over 30 vendors and now were up to 50 this year," Padilla said. 

The event will include games, escape rooms, a variety of panels and merchandise for sale.

Security is one of the top priorities at the family event. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite cosplay characters but should make sure their props are safe.

Yuma Con is on October 7th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $10-$12. Kids under 5 years old are free. To purchase tickets, click here.
