Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program brings awareness to students

The Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program is teaching students on how to be aware of the suicide signals that could take a life away too soon.
The Yuma Regional Medical Center teamed up with the Yellow Ribbon Program to train 58 adults and students to develop practices and treatment to those dealing with depression or who are having suicidal thoughts. The three-day workshop included the basic principals of prevention, identifying resources, and learning how to develop a strategy and action plan to provide suicide awareness and prevention training.
Watch the full report on the impact it has on students and in our community at 5/6/10 p.m. in the Evening Edition.
