Students Take Part in Mock Election
Some local high school students are getting hands-on political experience in the classroom.
Students at Yuma High School are taking their turn at voting for President. It's all part of a mock election called "Kids Voting Arizona" for students, K through 12 from across the state. The kids learned about the issues and the electoral process in class, and then they cast their votes online.
Teachers say they hope the mock vote will empower students.
