Calexico Mayor Louis Fuentes joined Californians at a health reform forum in San Diego, also taking place simultaneously in three other California cities via satellite. President Barack Obama's Administration selected Fuentes to participate in the forum. " This has to be a heavy weight to bare when they fear of becoming ill and not having coverage they fear that their children may becoming ill and they don't know what they are going to do," said Fuentes.

In a pre-recorded message, President Barack Obama told the audience that health care reform can't wait." Committed to an open inclusive and transparent process that allows people from around the country to have a voice and direct involvement in our country's health reform effort because through your experiences you know what works and what doesn't," said the President. California residents like Reynaldo Hernandez is hoping for change."There's something wrong here I grew up in this country with a right to an education ... why don't i have a right to health care,"said Hernandez. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger responded by saying that the nation needs mandatory health care. " Mandatory health care I think could bring cost down... in California alone there's 6.7 million that are uninsured it would at least have 5 million coming into the risk pool, now bringing cost down," said the Governor. Everyone also agreed that there is a need for prevention and wellness programs." Half of the solutions is within you of each individual," said the Governor.
