The Gila Ridge Hawks basketball program is no longer among the ranks of the winless after soundly defeating Palo Verde on their home floor. The Yellow Jackets on the other hand are still in search of their first victory and won't get a chance to redeem themselves for another couple of weeks.
Josh Grover was among four players in double digits Monday night in Yuma County's lone prep basketball game. Grover poured in 13 points and Mike Pancrazi added 10 offensive rebounds in guiding the Hawks to a 72-24 victory at home.
Gila Ridge will now head to the Phoenix area to take on Dobson High School on Tuesday. After that, they'll get ready to square off against Prescott on Thursday in the Southwest Rotary Classic.
