Hundreds of cars lined up to get through a drive-thru Saturday morning, but they weren't waiting for fast food. They were waiting for an H1N1 flu shot.

More than 2,000 people received the vaccine. It all took place at the Imperial Valley Expo, and this time the clinic was open to everyone. Health officals say the main reason people like the drive-thru clinic is convenience.

"It's awesome because they don't have to get off their vehicle. They're served while they're in their vehicle. It's also a great opportunity for public health and other agencies to practice mass vaccination in a non-clinical setting so in case we need to, we're all ready and we know what works and doesn't work," said Health Promotion Manager, Janette Angulo.

The next IV H1N1 flu clinic is scheduled for January.
