Hundreds gathered at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in this morning to pay their respects to Judge David Cooper.

He was found dead two weekends ago outside of his home in Yuma. The exact cause of his death is still a mystery, but there's no question that Cooper had a profound impact on all who knew him.

Family members say Judge Cooper was an amazing person to know. During the ceremony, his sister Ann and his long-time colleague and friend retired Arizona Supreme Court Justice Tom Zlacket read the eulogies.

They told stories of his childhood and the fun times that they had together. His family made sure that today was a celebration of his life.

His Stepson Don says, "He loved life. He squeezed every moment out of life. He passed too soon, but the time he spent with us was a joy for all of us."

Judge Cooper's body has been cremated and will be placed in a niche at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma.
