Arizona Budget Reduction Bill
Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed a budget-reduction bill that slices $193,000,000 from spending and sets the stage for state employee pay cuts.
The measures outlines cuts that will reduce Arizona's budget shortall to 1.4 million, from 1.6 million.
It includes 7 and 1/2% cuts to most agency's operating budgets.
It also authorizes pay cuts for state workers of up toto 5%.
Other possible impacts include reduced or elminated social programs and closing some or all of the state's parks.
