Students at Arizona's three universities are going to have to empty their pockets a little bit more next year.

The Arizona Board of Regents approved increases in tuition and fees at Thursday's meeting in Tucson.

Incoming students at Arizona State University will see their tuition and fees jump by nearly $1,300, bringing the cost of attendance to just over $8,000 for the year. Current students at ASU face an estimated $800 increase per year.

New students at The University of Arizona will now pay just over $8,000 a year beginning this fall --that's an increase of 20.5 percent.

And freshman at Northen Arizona University will pay over $900 dollars more per year, making their tuition and fees total just over $7,000.
