Naval Air Facility El Centro organizers say more than 36,000 people attended the 2010 Air Show Saturday. Two parachute events were cancelled due to the high winds. Safety concerns arose after gusts on the ground sped up to 40 miles an hour. The Blue Angels were on standby for a delayed flight, but started on time. They blew fans away as they kicked off their 2010 show season at their winter training site. During their tight flight schedule, they'll visit more than 30 cities across the country. Their season will wrap up in November. Their next stop from El Centro is MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
