HAMPTON, Va. — The Yuma Heat travelling basketball squad coached by Ricky Barnes is four games away from winning an Amateur Athletic Union national title in Hampton, Virginia. The team's latest victory came Saturday night with a 71-60 win over Connecticut-based TMT Express to advance to the Elite Eight. The Heat will resume play Sunday morning when they take on the Swish City Magic for a spot in the Final Four.

Barnes' roster consists of players in the 13 and under age group; a set of athletes that had been practicing at Cibola High School's gym in the week leading up to this big moment. Stay tuned to News 11 Sports for the latest updates as they become available.
