A quad accident takes the life of one man in Glamis over the weekend.
On Sunday, the California Highway Patrol reports a 65-year old man was riding on a 2008 Yamaha Raptor out in the dunes at about 35 miles per hour at 6:15 pm. The victim was driving over a "razor-back" sand dune in the Glamis OHV Recreation Area when he plunged 150 feet after a failed turn.
C.H.P. says the man was ejected over the handle bars when the quad landed on it's front wheels. The blunt force trama of the victim's injuries to the head and the midsection caused him to die on the scene.
