A controversial documentary about the murders in Juarez, Mexico will be shown in Yuma.

The movie titled "8 Murders a Day," will be shown for at least one eek at the Harkins Theather in the Yuma Palms.

Yuma is the 30th and final city the film will play in on its national tour. Filmmaker and director of the film Charlie Minn said the reality of what's going on in that particular part of the world, offers other border towns some perspective.

"I think it makes sense to show it here, I mean with the proximity towards the Mexico border. I think people have an idea of what's going on but do they really know?....Thank goodness the border here is pretty safe," Minn said. The movie will open Friday, January 20th and will run for at least a week.
