More than 700 blood donors are needed every day across Arizona, especially during the summer months.

United Blood Services says it's especially hard to find donors during the summer, because typically everyone is on vacation. But many local donors have stepped up to the plate and have a chance to win a Volkswagon beetle.

All you have to do is donate blood. When you donate you're automatically entered in the drawing. The next blood drive is coming up on Saturday, August 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fernando Padilla Community Center located at 800 E. Juan Sanchez Blvd. in San Luis.

To make an appointment call 1-877-UBS-HERO or go to www.bloodhero.com.
