The Imperial Valley Food Bank’s shelves now have an extra 11 tons of food over the past few months as part of the “Feds Feed Families” campaign.

Agents began collecting food in June.

The Indio Station also donated nearly 5,000 pounds of food to a local food bank in Indio.

In a written statement, Chief Patrol Agent Jeffrey Calhoon said this year’s donation “…has greatly surpassed all of our expectations and is a great example of the pride and commitment we all feel towards the communities we serve.”
