After nearly one month of deliberations, jurors at the Imperial County Superior Court found a man guilty in connection with the murder of a Yuma resident.
Thursday afternoon, Gerardo Montes was found guilty of first-degree murder in the killing of Adrian Chee in 2010.
Hunters found Chee’s body near San Pasqual School in Winterhaven.
Testimony in court revealed Montes and Chee knew each other, and were looking for drugs on the day of the shooting.
