An accident near Salton City leaves one person dead.

It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday on State Route 86 just west of the Salton Sea.

The California Highway Patrol says the driver of a ’94 Isuzu Rodeo drifted into the center median, overcorrected, and was ejected when the vehicle rolled over.

The driver’s name has not been released.

The accident is still under investigation.
