Officers searched and eventually found and arrested Jesse Teposte Friday evening. Teposte, wanted for being involved in the armed robbery of the Arco Iris Snack Bar in Yuma last Thursday fled from officers but was taken into custody a day later after a short foot pursuit in Somerton.
In court Judge Gregory Stewart announced the extensive list of charges in three separate cases Teposte is up against. In the first case Teposte faces one count of armed robbery with a gun, a class two felony. Case two involves eight separate offenses from a previous crime earlier this month which includes kidnapping per domestic violence, alleged aggravated assault, and theft. In case three Teposte faces a class six felony charge for an outstanding felony arrest warrant.
State prosecutors in court described the armed robbery and said Teposte ran off with only $30.00 after robbing the Arco Iris Snack Bar at gunpoint. Prosecutors also requested Teposte’s bond to be set at one million dollars.
Judge Stewart set Teposte's bond close to the amount requested by prosecutors at $955,000. Teposte will be back in court later this week.
