The Arizona Western Matadors have recently hit lulls in the second half of recent road contests, but that wasn't the case Thursday night against Paradise Valley.
The Pumas dominated the 1st half, getting a goal in the 40th minute and holding the Mats to no shots on goal in the first half.
The Matadors came out swinging in the second half, making agressive advnances on the Puma's goal; nabbing a 12 to 5 shot advantage the rest of the game. Arturo Valle would score the game tying goal in the 59th minute of the match with a header shot from an assist by Lupe Paz.
The Mats and the Pumas would play tenacious defense that would carry the game into two overtime periods. Arturo Valle would strike the decisive blow that would end the match with a goal in the 102 minute.
The win improves the Matador's record to 12-3 in the ACCAC. Next up for the Mats is Phoenix at their home pitch next Tuesday.
