The Kofa Lady Kings are still a few weeks out from postseason, and it appears that Coach Brittany Garcia is on the verge of getting her squad back in the playoffs.
She admits many similarities between this year's team and the one that made the postseason state tournament last year; but the one thing that sticks out to Garcia is the stronger chemistry she sees throughout her lineup.
The Cibola Lady Raiders experience that first hand. The Lady Kings would win the match in straight sets; 25-14, 25-19, and 25-14. The visiting Cibola team would show some strong moments, but were never able to string enough plays together to stay in the contest. Lady Kings standout Jasmine Ortiz came away with 15 kills in the match and Kofa's Sally Gastelo was key to the offensive attack as she contributed 25 assists.
Kofa takes on Gila Ridge this Thursday night.
