The play of the Arizona Western College Lady Matadors can be described in one word; steady. AWC never trailed in the first day of competition in the "Husky Invitational" in Colorado Springs. Thanks in part to four Lady Mats earning double figures numbers, they were able to keep McCook College at arms length for both halves.

Samantha Wallace led the Lady Mats with 16 points, while her teammate Emilie Muanandibu had 13. Arizona Western again wins by the final of 65 to 54.
