The Yuma Police Department said Friday several checks have been taken out of drop boxes at a number of apartment complexes in the area.

YPD said the drop boxes have been messed with and some of the checks are missing.

YPD is asking anyone who's seen a person tampering with the drop boxes or other suspicious activity to call them at 928-373-4700 or 78-crime to remain anonymous.
