A Blythe man is behind bars after police say he smashed the front windows of a local bar.

Blythe police tell News 11 officers arrested 40-year-old Christopher Peters Tuesday morning. Officers say several witnesses saw Peters break out some windows at Patty’s Bar and Grill with a bat.

Peters took off in a truck, but police eventually caught him.

The business owner says the attack may have stemmed from a family argument.

Peters was booked into the Blythe jail on felony vandalism counts.
