A Yuma man is facing multiple domestic violence charges today. Yuma police arrested the man after he barricaded himself in his home Wednesday night for several hours.

Around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Yuma police responded to a domestic violence call on the 1400 block of S. 12th Dr.

When police arrived, 30-year-old Monico Rico ran into his home and refused to come out.

Police then obtained a search warrant, and the Special Enforcement Team responded.

Police entered and arrested Rico around 1 a.m.

Rico was booked into jail for reckless burning, assault, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage, all involving domestic violence.

Thursday in court, a judge set Rico's bond at $10,000, citing Rico's previous run-ins with the law.

The Yuma Police Department asks anyone with information on this case to call (928) 373-4700 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.
