A man who went missing last week in Yuma maybe driving back to his hometown in Iowa some family members say.
Laurence "Jack" Doering, 82, suffers from Alzheimer's disease and was last seen Thursday in a shopping center near Yuma driving a tan and gray 2002 Chevrolet Suburban with Idaho plates.
The 82-year-old Doering's daughter-in-law, Holly Doering, says the family believes he may be trying to drive back to Blackfoot, Iowa.
The Idaho State Journal reports Doering and his wife went to get haircuts on Thursday. Holly Doering says he does not usually drive but somehow got the keys to the car and left the shopping center.
The family asks that anyone who sees the 6-foot-1, 170-pound man call authorities.
