U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a man who was trying to smuggle drugs into the U.S. by tying packages of meth to his body.

It happened Saturday night at 10:45 at the highway 86 checkpoint.

The man was traveling on a passenger bus when he was asked to get off for further questioning. That's when agents found small packages of meth wrapped in cellophane and taped to the man's thighs.

' The drugs were worth an estimated $73,000. The smuggler was turned over to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office.
