Since Kofa man-handled Basha a week and a half ago, they've hit a late season rut. First tying Yuma at home and then losing at Cibola two days ago. It seemed like a perfect opportunity for the Yuma Criminals to end their season on a sour note and put the Kings in playoff jeopardy at the same time.
Like all good teams who face adversity, the Kings regrouped in their last season game. In the first half, Jesus Felix hammered in the first goal of the game for the Kings. They would hold that lead into the half.
The second half would prove to be a continuance of Kofa's aggressive offensive attack. Kevin Huigar would rocket in the team's second goal, with the assist by Frank Mallek. J.P. Figueroa would ice the game later in the second half by scoring the King's third goal.
The 3-0 win seals Kofa a spot in the state playoffs. The Kings now await their seeding fate for the upcoming first round.
