Members of the Yuma Adult Center made a special donation to some local veterans Friday.

More than two dozen wood-carved canes were donated to veterans at American Legion Post 19 in Yuma.

Each cane is hand-carved and detailed with patriotic sayings and symbols.

The veterans said they were thrilled pick a cane.

The carvers said it's their way of giving back to those who have fought for our country.

This is the second year the wood carvers have made the donation to the local veterans.
