At 12:24 A.M Sunday morning, the Yuma Police Department Responded to a robbery at the Ramada Inn located at 300 E. 32nd Street.
The suspect walked in to the lobby and demanded money, and left shortly afterwards with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Then just fourteen minutes later a robbery was reported at the Chevron gas station located on the corner of Avenue B and 16th Street.
The suspect is described in both cases as being a short Hispanic male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, camouflaged shorts, and black shoes. He was also wearing a bandana covering his face.
A cashier at the Chevron said that she is told to always meet a robber’s demand for money or merchandise, because her well-being is worth more than any amount of money.
While the Ramada Inn declined to comment, representatives for the owners of the Chevron said that they preach safety first to all of their employees.
