The Yuma High School mascot, the Criminal, was voted the best high school mascot in Arizona.

The vote was not close.

Yuma High beat out four other high schools from around Arizona, receiving more than 95 percent of the vote.

Area residents can continue to vote until March 14, as it moves on to the regional round and one step closer to being crowned the best high school mascot in the county.

To submit your vote towards making the Criminal the regional mascot winner, visit http://contest.usatodayhss.com/VOTE/MASCOT/R6
