An Aurora High School teacher in Calexico is behind bars on allegations that he had inappropriate and sexual contact with minors.

Calexico police arrested 56-year-old Tommy Obeso Friday at 1 p.m.

Detective Manuel Ceja with the Calexico Police Department tells News 11 that the school's principal filed the complaint Monday.

Calexico police, along with the Homeland Security's Cyber Crime investigation unit planned a set up.

They created a fake Facebook account posing as a 17-year-old girl to which Obeso exchanged sexually explicit messages and arranged to meet with her to fulfill sexual acts.

Calexico police then arrested Obeso on multiple counts: sexual battery, willful cruelty to a minor, contact with a minor with intent of sex, and arranging to meet with a minor, and harmful matter sent with intent of seduction of a minor.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Calexico Police Department at (760) 768-2140. Detective Manuel Ceja says you can remain anonymous to the suspect and all information will be confidential.
