Jeffery Allen Miller was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he lied to police investigators.
He was being questioned about his relationship and involvement with Jose Jimenez, the man accused in the murder of Wellton native Christal Figueroa.
Miller, 36, is currently in Yuma County Jail and is facing two felony charges for hindering prosecution in a criminal investigation and tampering or destroying physical evidence.
His bond has been set at $185,000.
The judge did not specify what evidence Miller was trying to hide or destroy.
He is the fifth person to be arrested in connection with the killing of the 29-year-old mother of three.
Brandi Michalski, brothers Jorge and David Torres, and accused murderer Jose Jimenez have already been arrested.
