A pilot walked away uninjured after his cropduster helicopter crashed in Somerton early Saturday morning.
At 12:12 a.m., Somerton firefighters and police officers responded to the area of Main St. near Avenue G where the small aircraft went down, according to Robby Rodriguez with the Somerton Fire Department.
The 35-year-old man had to be extricated from his plane, but he walked away with only scratches.
Rescue crews had to close down the road and detour traffic for some time while rescue crews attended to the passenger.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
