Democrat Fred Duval began his tour of Arizona on Friday by coming to Yuma.
It's a campaign he calls the "Cup of Joe Tour." He says it stands for "j"obs, "o"pportunities, and "e"ducation.
Duval is a former Arizona Board of Regents President and a former Democratic National Committee member of Arizona. Duval's campaign also recently announced endorsements from legislators and others in an apparent effort to show widespread support among party activists.
Duval says he is running to be the governor of Arizona because he feels Arizona is in desperate need of economic improvement.
Former Tempe mayor Hugh Hallman plans to run against Duval as well as Secretary of State Ken Bennett and state treasurer Doug Ducey.
