Construction on a new aviation industrial center is well underway.
The five million dollar project centers around a hangar and office building that can be used as a home base and test facility for military contractors.
Mark Workman is the director of operations at Yuma International Airport and says the building will be the perfect place for defense contractors to call home.
“This is a multi-tenant facility meant to attract defense contractors who are trying to support various facilities and assets of the department of defense such as the F-35 strike fighter that we have right here in Yuma,” says Workman.
The facility is scheduled to be completed by September 1st.
