A Yuma man is behind bars after deputies arrested him for firing shots in his neighborhood and threatening neighbors while holding a shotgun Saturday night.
Saturday just after 11 p.m., neighbors said they heard two rounds fired in the area of the 2500 block of E. 15th Pl.
Sheriff's deputies identified 19-year-old Marvin Iniguez of Yuma as the suspect.
No one was injured in the incident. Neighbors said Iniguez was threatening people.
"Just obscene language saying that he was going to kill people. It's just the kind of people you don't want around a family neighborhood with kids," said Adam Miller, who lives in the neighborhood.
Miller added that Iniguez appeared intoxicated.
"I mean you could tell, he was stumbling. He was irritated. He was yelling and being obscene. So it was kind of crazy."
Deputies arrested Iniguez, who was hiding in a lot east of his residence.
Deputies said they obtained a search warrant and found the shotgun at Iniguez's home.
YUMA--Iniguez appeared in court Sunday to hear the felony charges pending against him.
He now faces several felony charges of disorderly conduct with a weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and endangerment.
His bond is set at $183,106.20. Iniguez is due back in court this week to be formally charged.
